We will be holding a quiz at the Village Hall on Saturday 12 March 2016 at 8pm. It is usually an entertaining evening! Tickets are £5 per person and include supper. They will be available from Lumley’s or Vanessa Wood (tel 318124, email: firstname.lastname@example.org) and may be available on the door if it’s not sold out. Bring your own booze.
Richard Chapman and Gail & Chris Brockhouse have kindly offered to organise it for us. If you have a slow cooker that we could borrow please drop it off at Gail’s house on Thursday 10th or in the morning of Friday 11th March.
We will be running a raffle during the evening so if you would like to donate a raffle prize you can drop it off here, or with the slow cooker or on the evening. Just let me know if you want me to collect it.
We hope that you can come and support us and tell others too as this is an important fundraiser to help us cover the insurance and maintenance of the Playing Fields.
If anyone can help on the evening or with tidying up on Sunday morning let me know.
We held the AGM on Wednesday 3 February 2016 and Rob Brook has kindly offered to stand in as Chairperson for a short period of time so that Christine Cavanagh can review what the post entails.
Richard Chapman and Suzanne Macey have now stepped down from the Committee after many years of hard work but we are hoping that they remain very good Friends! We are running with quite a small Committee so if anyone does want to help let us know. It helps enormously if the Friends can help out by supporting the events that we run as the more people that attend the easier it is!
Grass Cutting Rota
I will be updating the grass cutting rota soon so will assume that you are all happy to continue for another year. If anything is any different please let me know.
Thank you for your continuing support, we hope to see you at the Quiz.
