Seaton Ross Parish Council is looking to appoint a part-time Clerk who will be able to take up their duties in January 2016.

The Clerk’s duties include the post of Responsible Financial Officer and the servicing of Council meetings. The post holder will work closely with Councillors to plan and implement the aims and objectives of the Council.
The successful candidate will need
- a strong level of personal commitment
- accurate administrative and financial skills
- good communication skills
- ability to deal with a range of issues
- ability to work from home with the minimum of supervision.
A good knowledge of, and interest in, current local government issues and affairs, particularly as they affect parish councils and local communities would be a particular advantage. You will be encouraged to undertake relevant training.
The hours of work will be between 15 and 20 hours a month, including 8-10 evening meetings a year. The salary will be within the NALC/SLCC Scale LC1 (SCP 15-27: £16,572 – £22.212) pro-rata to the number of hours worked and subject to experience and qualifications. A dedicated laptop is provided and reasonable expenses paid.
