About 30 people attended the meeting on November 13.
Chris Cole from East Riding Planning spoke briefly about the county wide Local Plan and Neighbourhood plans, which become part of the Local Plan though have to be in line with it.
Peter Hirschfeld from Humber & Wolds Rural Community Council gave a presentation on Community led plans which are not legally binding but are a signpost for what the community wants to achieve over the next 10 to 15 years. There is some funding available to set up both sorts of plans.
A number of queries were raised. The general feeling was that so few houses can be built in the village under the Local Plan it is not worth the time and money it would take to set up a Neighbourhood Plan.
Another approach is to do a Community Review in one evening to look at 6 to 8 areas of interest for the future of the village.
It was agreed to apply for funding with help from HWRCC and to hold an evening in March/April 2015.
