Road improvements to Everingham Lane, Seaton Ross

Roadworks

Work to resurface Everingham Lane between Seaton Common lane (the Mill) and Rytham Gate Farm is due to commence on Monday 1st September and is expected to take 5 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Working hours will be 7am to 5pm.  The work will consist of widening the road to 6.0m (similar to the previous scheme to Seaton Common Lane).

Unfortunately due to the narrow width of the existing road and the nature of the work it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic until the works are complete.

The signed traffic diversion route to get to Bielby and Everingham will be via Seaton Common Lane, Ash Lane, General Lane Melbourne, Main Street Melbourne, Common Lane Melbourne and Melbourne Road Seaton Ross (past Sumo). This is really for the heavier traffic, and cars can use Campey Lane.  And vice versa for a return journey.

Access to individual properties will be maintained from either Seaton Common Lane end or Rytham Gate end of the site and postal deliveries and refuse collections will have access while work is in progress.  The school bus companies have been informed.
